When I renovate or build new I am always thinking of ways to incorporate interesting spaces in boring places such as hallways. This new construction project had  many opportunities to incorporate things like bookcases. During framing we adjusted this wall back far enough to include adding this bookcase along the entire wall of the hall. This hallway connected bedrooms. Without this bookcase it would have been just another ordinary space and the view from the bottom of the stairs would have just been a view of sheetrock. Now it serves the purpose of great storage but also something visually pretty to look at wether your in the hall or just walking up the stairs. I am so in love with slip covers for so many reasons; first it’s a quick and inexpensive way to change the way your furniture looks and changes the look of an entire room. I have recently slipped these two armless chairs . I have used these chairs in a bedroom a playroom and now that they are slip covered in this fun linen fabric print of blues and tans I have them in my family room. My husband thinks I have gone nuts with the slipcovers I have done the sectional, the breakfast chairs, the dining chairs a few occasional chairs and the list goes on. What does he know he owns three pair of shoes so how can he possibly understand my latest obsession. Before you buy new try putting a custom made slip cover on your furniture they can change everything . Except maybe your husband!

If you know me I am always buying moving redoing and starting the process all over again this house is no exception
Located in Old Westmoreland in Sherwood Oaks this house is in full remodel mode.
Starting with the exterior we painted the Brick with Boral recote paint, added gas lanterns and a new double 8 foot custom door Made out of cypress. Inside (more photos coming soon) marble kitchen and master baths fabulous office built ins, a new bunk room, third floor home theater, new painted interior doors and walls, new master tub and of course lighting everywhere
I am patiently sleeping in dust from the new master bath marble tile being installed. Very crazy at my house pair that with my craziness it’s not pretty
