Who doesn’t love a new kitchen? In the current real estate market to get your house sold quickly and for the most money you really have to look amazing. It requires upgrades and maintenance sort of like Botox a little goes a long way! Take this kitchen for example my client was not thinking of selling but wanted a kitchen that if she did ever sell it would help get the most money in a tough real estate market. The original kitchen had builders cherry cabinets,no granite tops and the sink faced the wall and the cooktop was on the center island all of which I say Yuk that needs help! Who wants to do dishes in the first place let alone face the wall while washing them. It feels like time out for Mom! I should also mention this kitchen was open to the family room so not only was there not anything attractive to look at the builder who was a man (; decided he would put a desk right in the middle of the room. I guess that makes sense to someone (not sure who ) but who wants a desk in the middle of the room. I have to say it was one stupid design idea. Needless to say that was the first thing to go and it was replaced with a fabulous large island with a gorgeous copper farm sink. The cooktop was moved to the wall where the sink was previously and a great hood was built out of stucco material and became the focal point. The kitchen got new creme and glazed cabinets a dark wood island beautiful granite tops and these great oversized lanterns from pottery barn. I was proud and it turned out amazing. The best part is this family needed to sell a few months later due to a job transfer and the house sold before it ever went on the market. The agent called to tell me that if the kitchen had not been updated it would not have sold as quickly or for as much! Keep that in mind when you get ready to do a remodel or before you list your home beauty sells and a little Botox helps!href=”https://stacyjacobiinteriors.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/20120206-210448.jpg”>20120206-210448.jpg
